MICROAGGRESSIONs & UNCONSCIOUS BIASES

Understanding microaggressions and unconscious biases are imperative in the discussion of diversity and inclusion. This educational and interactive training is a judgment-free zone where attendees can ask questions without the fear of "getting it wrong." Attendees will become aware of their learned (and unintentional) stereotypes and will be given the tools to make more conscious and informed decisions. We’ll teach what inclusive language looks and sounds like in order to enhance interpersonal skills and allow underrepresented groups to feel more valued and respected in the workplace.

Through gaining insight, attendees will be able to take actionable steps to better understand the experiences of their coworkers and customers.

In this seminar we will address:

Dimensions of Diversity

Unconscious bias through personal prompts

Inclusive language with specific everyday examples

Becoming conscious of microaggressions

Tools for actionable allyship

Privilege understanding through a reflective exercise
